NCAA College Football Conference Champion Predictions?

With College Football back, let’s go over who I like to win each conference for the 2022 season.

American: The American Conference is up in the air. I think Cincy will be down this year with everyone graduating. I think Houston or UCF could take the conference with probably to of the most high-powered offenses.

ACC: Is it time for Miami to shine again? I think they have a chance to win but it’s hard to overlook Clemson as I expect the Tigers to bounce back after a down year last year. One of the things that will help the Canes will be Tigers bringing in 2 new coordinators, as it may take time to get stuff figured out. If you want a dark horse to throw out there consider NC State to put pressure on Clemson for the Atlantic.

Big 12: I’m having trouble with this one. I had multiple bets with Oklahoma, behind Gabriel, or Texas as I think they make a run with new QB Ewers. Both programs will be run by transfers as Gabriel comes from the fast-paced UCF and Ewers comes from THE University of Ohio State. If you think both struggles look at Baylor to make a push for the championship.

Big 10: I’ll keep this one short. I don’t see this one going the way it did last year so I’m going Ohio State. I will still have 1 share of Michigan but I will have a lot of shares of Ohio State.

Conference USA: This one will be a tough on, as WKU and North Texas I’m a little bias on. But I could see FAU make a run too. After Week 0 WKU struggled a bit with Austin Peay as North Texas and FAU shined.

MAC: The MAC is up in the air. I like the favorite Toledo as they bring back Dequan Finn who had a great Freshman season under center. Kent State has a little more juice on the odds but I do like them as well bringing back Marquez Cooper and Dante Cephas who led the offense last year.

Mountain West: Boise state fan here but I have 2 sleepers that I think can beat the Broncos. Colorado State but I like Fresno State better. I’d go to Fresno and Boise as my 1A 1B and Colorado State as my sleeper if the QB can work out. Fresno brings back 4 key players on offense as they all had a great season last year led by Jake Haener. He will lean on Jalen Cropper and Josh Kelly who return as 2 of the top receivers from last year and Jordan Mims returns to the backfield who shared it with Ronnie Rivers who graduated.

PAC 12: There’s a lot of teams I don’t like here, but I would lean USC or Utah. I think Lincoln Riley gets this team eventually back to where Pete Carroll had the Trojans years ago. Utah starts off against the Gators at the Swamp so that will be a good game to see what the Utes are all about.

SEC: Roll Tide

Sun Belt: The Sun Belt is going to have a new conference champion this year. Appalachian State brought back A LOT. Coastal Carolina will always be hard to beat with their triple option and McCall behind center. Georgia state is a sleeper with how they came on strong at the end of the year. Basically, whoever wins the East I think wins the conference in my opinion this year. I’d lean App or Coastal Carolina as my favorites.
